We are a central coast based upper GI surgical service
Dr Hamer specialises in stomach and oesophageal surgery including weight loss, cancer and hiatal hernia surgery. He also operates for laparoscopic inguinal (groin) hernia surgery and laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder) surgery.
Operating:
Dr Hamer operates from Gosford Private and Gosford District Hospitals.
Consulting:
Dr Hamer consults from 33 Etna St Gosford, and Kanwal Medical Complex (opposite Wyong Hospital).
ABOUT
Dr Peter Hamer is an experienced general and upper gastrointestinal surgeon who is excited to be able to offer a world-class surgical service on the central coast. Dr Hamer has the expertise and a particular interest in upper GI surgery including weight loss surgery, stomach and oesophageal cancer surgery, and surgery for reflux and large hiatus hernias.
He works closely with a team of allied health professionals to help you obtain the best results possible from your surgery. The weight loss team includes Sarah Williams, a highly experienced accredited practicing dietitian, and Lynita Clark, a psychologist with a special interest in helping people achieve their weight loss goals. We have recently been pleased to welcome Sarah Bourke to our team who is an experience practice and bariatric nurse with an interest in lifestyle and exercise medicine.
